As an avid skier, it’s no wonder Matt lives in his hometown of Denver, CO, the center of ski country in the Rocky Mountains. He did leave Denver for a bit when he attended the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, where he trained as a professional chef! Though he loved the art of cooking, he did not love the late hours a chef’s life demands, so he traded in his set of knives for a hammer and nails. With a degree in Architectural Engineering, Matt made his way into construction and joins us now as Superintendent.
He has two daughters and 2 cats, Gordo and Flaca (yep, that’s Fat and Skinny in Español). Matt believes that the key in leading a successful team is through respect and the Herd can sure respect that. When he’s not hoofin’ it on the job or the slopes, you may find him fishing, although skiing Portillo in Chile makes the top of his bucket list.
