Robert “Bobby” Hockenberry
Project Superintendent
Born and bred in Mooresville, North Carolina—better known as "Race City, USA"—Bobby Hockenberry has speed, precision, and grit in his blood. With over 16 years of experience as a Superintendent, Bobby’s built it all—from CarMax production facilities to Hobby Lobby stores and PGA Supercenters. His favorite project to date? An 80,000 sq. ft. shopping center in Barboursville, WV, where he kept Academy Sports, PetSmart, and Skechers all on track and on time.
Off the jobsite, Bobby’s usually kicking back in the Smoky Mountains or tending to his 200-acre farm (yes, two hundred), and if he’s not doing that, he’s probably out hunting—because this guy doesn’t do “still.” His first car was a 1968 Ford Mustang, and yes, he still wishes he had it. A lifelong Steelers fan—albeit reluctantly—Bobby’s as tough as they come, but don’t let that fool you; he’s got the kind of dry wit that can outpace even a motocross bike (his childhood dream career, by the way).
