The First Annual Buff-Olympics: A Clash of the Titans!

We love a little friendly competition around here, so the Herd was thrilled to host our first annual Buff-Olympics with long-standing client partner, Texas Roadhouse, Inc. What’s a Buff-Olympics, you ask? Well, it’s the Olympics done Buffalo style, with lots of fun, food, games, music, water, and laughter. The games were kicked-off with an official opening ceremony with our founder, Roman A. Buffalo and Texas Roadhouse, Inc.’s, Andy the Armadillo! And then it was go-time, a legendary face-off between two legendary partners!

There was ping-pong, putt-putt, basketball, water balloon toss, face painting, water obstacle course, tug-o-war and more! Perhaps the highlight of the games was the dunk tank featuring none other than our President, Scott Gregor and Texas Roadhouse, Inc CEO, Kent Taylor! Members from both teams were quick to line up and take their shot at dunking our head-honchos for a small fee. All proceeds went towards The Healing Place, a no-cost recovery program for men and women suffering from addiction. In total, we raised $1400 in donations – that’s a lot of launches thrown! It was all in good fun and we have to give it up to Scott and Kent for being such great sports in the name of helping our community. We also want to recognize Get in Your Belly Deli Food Truck, who donated their total tips to Dare to Care food bank. These guys know a how to make a great sandwich and a difference!

Team TXRH showed up in full force and were a tough-shelled competitor, no doubt. And the Herd gave it all their hoof. It was a neck and neck competition throughout, but in the end, Team TXRH pulled ahead and won the coveted Buff-Olympics Trophy! All in all, it was an awesome day for giving, good times and gratitude and we were happy to share it with our partner. A special shout-out goes out to our Chief Fun Officer, Andrea Pachner, along with Herdmates, Teresa Parsons, Kelly Frazier, Chris French, Dani Faust and all the volunteers for all their hard work in pulling this off. Also, big props to Brent and Brandie with Sounds Unlimited Productions who organized all the games, provided the music and made it an awesomely fun day! And thank you to Texas Roadhouse, Inc. for participating in this legendary event. There will be a next time!
