Kristopher Gorter
Senior Project Manager
Meet Kris, one of our Senior Project Managers at Buffalo Construction, Inc., who brings both military precision and a dash of humor to the team. A six-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Kris served as a combat engineer and made significant contributions during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004.
Since joining us in 2013, Kris has donned various hats, starting as an Estimator, then elevating to Senior Estimator, and eventually taking the reins as Estimator Manager, where he propelled our estimation team to new heights. Now, as a Project Manager, Kris orchestrates schedules through the HBC, ensuring we're always On-time and Buffalo Ready. His expertise extends to overseeing project financials through buy-out and CTCs.
Based in the heart of Louisville, Kris not only navigates the intricacies of project schedules and financials like a pro but also manages the chaos of endless sports events with his daughter. A proud father, he travels far and wide to support her sports endeavors, proving that project management isn't his only arena of expertise.
Outside the construction site, Kris is a sports aficionado with a soft spot for Kentucky basketball and a fondness for the Green Bay Packers. When he's not immersed in project details, you might find him enjoying concerts or embarking on adventures to cross off states from his impressive travel list – 42 down, 10 more to go. With a wife, daughter, and a trusty dog by his side, Kris is not just a project manager; he's a well-rounded individual who brings a winning spirit and a touch of military discipline to the Buffalo Construction Herd.
