Mike Sparks
Project Superintendent
Mike Sparks brings more than 25 years of commercial construction experience to Buffalo Construction, along with the kind of steady leadership and “do it right the first time” mindset that every project team hopes for in a superintendent. Throughout his career, Mike has overseen everything from schools and hotels to fuel stations, restaurants, retail buildouts, and large-scale commercial developments across the Southeast. Known for his strong safety focus, detailed execution, and ability to keep projects moving smoothly, Mike leads with accountability, professionalism, and a deep respect for the craft. Around Buffalo, he’s the kind of teammate who believes quality matters, punch lists should actually get punched, and there’s no substitute for experience.
Before joining Buffalo, Mike has built an impressive portfolio spanning ground-up construction, remodels, federal work, fuel, retail, restaurants, hospitality, and large-scale commercial developments — proving he’s seen just about everything a jobsite can throw at him. With certifications in excavation safety, confined space, heavy equipment operation, and HAZWOPER training, Mike brings both technical expertise and calm, dependable leadership to every project he touches.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys fishing in the Gulf of Mexico and cheering on both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys — which may explain his ability to stay patient under pressure. Originally from Valrico, Florida, home of the famous Florida Strawberry Festival, Mike dreams of one day visiting Paris, France. And if he could choose any superpower? Mind reading — probably because it would make subcontractor coordination a whole lot easier.
