Nick Mooney

Project Engineer

Construction may have first caught Nick Mooney’s attention through his dad, but he’s quickly building a path of his own. As a Project Engineer at Buffalo Construction, Nick combines a detail-driven mindset with hands-on experience in project management support, certified payroll, subcontractor coordination, permitting, invoicing, industrial operations, and inventory management. A University of Louisville graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a minor in Marketing, Nick also earned Dean’s List recognition along the way. He’s organized, proactive, and always looking for ways to keep learning—a pretty solid recipe for Continuous Improvement.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Nick now calls Louisville home. When he’s not helping move projects forward, you can find him hiking, thrifting, cooking, traveling, or catching a sporting event. He cheers for the Louisville Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, and Los Angeles Lakers, and his music taste runs everywhere from Lynyrd Skynyrd to Deftones and The Strokes. Costa Rica currently holds the title of his happy place, but with a goal of seeing as many countries as possible, that ranking could always change.
