Design Build

14,000 sq. ft.

$2.4 million build

When we say our founder is involved in our projects, we mean it. Scott performed as an owners representative and design consultant in conjunction with (fer)Studio and Peters Construction. While our team did not perform the construction, Scott was intimately involved in overseeing this design build.

The school’s 34-year-old gymnasium had seen better days. It was inadequate to accommodate its athletics programs, and was in dire need of a full renovation, although it was nearly a complete rebuild. We retained the steel frame and concrete pad, but the rest was new. The building had several green considerations, as the footprint did not increase and many efficiencies were introduced. The new building envelope provides an interior/exterior feeling when the glass doors are raised. The school – and most importantly, the students – have been very pleased with this one. While we suspect Scott was probably the class clown back in his day, we were proud to see him honored by the school by receiving dedication of the basketball court in his name.

“We could count on Buffalo Construction, Inc. 100 percent. We dealt primarily with Scott, the founder, and when he said something would be done, we know it would be done, and on time. They’re absolute pros, and we wouldn’t consider working with anyone else.”
