This was the first stand-alone Zoës Kitchen that we’ve created from the ground up, so we definitely had our work cut out for us. We built the structure with steel infill with metal studs and finished with EIFS and brick exterior. We love the angles of the building and how the dark brick stands out against the lighter finish. The tall, narrow windows mimic the stripes on the awnings, an especially nice touch.
Inside, the dark and light contrast continues with the booths and tabletops, as well as the stylized, curved bar seating. The colors remind us of the tasty food they serve — fresh and crisp. The Zoës team is just as proud of their new restaurant as the Herd. In fact, one senior manager from Zoës wanted us to know just how much they appreciated our work on this milestone store:
“Brook Highlands is our 171st store opening and our 7th store in the Birmingham area! Congratulations to everyone involved for opening such a beautiful store!”
-Nick Loeffler, Senior Manager of Implementation and Support Services, Zoës Kitchen
