Summary of Construction
Panda Express is a casual dining quick service restaurant, serving up some delicious Chinese cuisine. You know that old saying, “When it rains it pours,” right? Well, it applied particularly well to this new construction job. Well, it applied particularly well to this new construction job. Often for restaurants, your project turnovers must be executed with perfection, as food will be served on the same day. So, rain or shine, we had a job to get done, no excuses.
This was a winter build, so the temperatures were cold. However, in Tennessee, cold tends to just bring stinging rain. We had a lot of it on this one. Our team erected a large event tent over the building pad so concrete and underground plumbing could proceed without delay. With a concrete slab on grade with conventional footings, we were able to proceed into architectural metal panels and prefabricated awnings.
Our team was proud of our ability to get the job done right, despite the conditions. Just as we told them, it was a slick job well done.
