136 Star Fixtures

Not a typical build, but still just as impressive, we just wrapped up a one-year gig creating giant, blue millwork stars and installing them in bars at various Texas Roadhouse locations across the U.S. The star was dreamt up by the Texas Roadhouse owners, and represents the Lone Star State’s famous emblem.

Texas Roadhouse partnered with us to create the giant blue metal star fixtures surrounded by wooden cedar frames to hang above the bars in their restaurants. Our sister company, Signet Millwork, was happy to oblige by creating each and every unique star.

As the stars were milled, a small three-man Herd drove around the U.S. to restaurant locations and put in 136 of the fixtures at an average of four per week. For each installation, the team arrived after hours and completed the project overnight. The job included removing cabinets and suspending the heavy, 10’ x 15’ star above the bar. It was not a simple task by any means, but a challenge that the Herd was eager to meet head on. In some locations, they also placed eight to 12 TVs in the bar along with newly milled cabinets for additional storage.

The first star was placed in the very first Texas Roadhouse store in Clarksville, Ind. and the stars are now a permanent fixture for all Texas Roadhouse restaurants under construction. We’re proud of the outcome of the Texas Roadhouse Star Bar Program, and so was the client partner:

“I wanted to say thank you for your continuous support and business regarding this Star Bar Program. We have finished our last installation and we will be taking a much needed break. Please let us know if you need anything in the future. It has been a pleasure to serve.”
