You might think that the Herd and elegance go together about as well as a buffalo and a china shop. But take one look at the Capital Grille that we built in Lyndhurst, Ohio, and you’ll see that we build out all of our restaurants with class to spare. This one just required a slightly more delicate touch with the hooves.
We started this new construction from the ground up in the dead of winter. In the Ohio Valley, that meant dealing with everything from rain to freezing conditions and below freezing temperatures. We lost 31 days to the weather, but still managed to meet the turnover date. Make no mistake, that took the Herd's dedication and focus.
And we had to work in the mall lot, which meant extra traffic passing through, so all roads had to be open for access. Not an easy feat. But the massive structure with metal stud infill went up and with some hard work, it turned out beautiful.
Inside, classic wood and leather accents give way to an enormous climate-controlled glass wine storage area. Guests can also stock their own personal wine lockers. In the dining area, the Deco chandeliers and crisp white tablecloths are set off by the deep red walls and carpet. And the menu, with its prime aged beef, fresh seafood and gourmet accompaniments, is exquisite. We’re proud to have done such fine, detailed work. It just goes to show that the Herd is committed to Building Better no matter what the steaks are.
